Ben Backwell,
CEO, Global Wind Energy Council, WEC

Backwell is a former journalist and analyst who has covered energy markets in Europe, the US and Latin America and most recently served as the managing director of FTI Consulting’s clean energy unit.

Jean-Yves Grandidier,

Jean-Yves Grandidier, is the founder and president of VALOREM, created in 1994 to promote renewable energy. He is also the co-founder of FEE, the French association of wind energy professionals. VALOREM is a leading independent green energy operator in France. VALOREM also conducts business abroad, especially in the Nordics with a 600 MW portfolio.

CEO Eolus Vind AB

CEO of Eolus since 2012. Extensive knowledge of the wind power industry and the market with about 20 years’ experience in the business. Eolus is one of the leading wind power developers in the Nordics and conducts business in the United States and the Baltic countries as well.


Thomas Nilsson,
Senior Originator/Key Account Manager, Axpo

Thomas Nilsson has long-term experience from the Nordic energy market and has been focusing on the wind industry since 2008. Representing Axpo, Thomas has been involved in several large wind power projects in close cooperation with developers and investors. Thomas has also been active in offering Axpos services and competence to Swedish industry and electricity retailers.


Jens-Peter Zink,
Executive Vice President and co-owner of European Energy

European Energy develops renewable energy projects. He has extensive experience in corporate PPAs in Scandinavia as well as in the rest of the world.


Thomas Elgaard Jensen,

Thomas Elgaard Jensen has worked in the energy industry for more than 16 years in various positions. As Energy Trader, Head of Department of Modelling and Analysis, Director of an Energy Hedge Fund and Senior Economist for the Danish TSO (main task was making ancillary services market based and exchangeable – at Danish, Nordic and European level). In his current job, Director, Strategic Business Development, at Energi Danmark, he is responsible for strategic business development, M&A, regulatory affairs and R&D projects.


Sten Lilienau,
Key Account Manager, NEAS Energy A/S

Sten Lillienau has a broad background within the green and renewable industry sector. Apart from his position at Neas Energy he has worked for Thermia/Danfoss heat pumps, Metso Paper and has been Sector Expert Energy & Environment at the Danish Trade Council.


Bruce Douglas,
Deputy CEO, SolarPower Europe, Coordinator, RE-Source Platform, Co-Chairman, Global Solar Council

Mr Douglas has been working in renewable energy for 20 years. He is currently the Deputy CEO of SolarPower Europe, a member-led association based in Brussels representing over 200 organisations. He is also the coordinator of the RE-Source Platform and the Co-Chairman of the Global Solar Council (GSC), the representative body for the entire global solar PV sector at an international level, representing over 2000 solar companies around the world.


Jeanette Lindeblad,
Chairman of the board, Swedish Windpower Association

Has 20 years’ experience in the wind power industry from a variety of areas. A deep and broad understanding and a solid national and international network within the value chain for wind power. Working in her own company Wind Sweden, primarily with business development, matchmaking and market introduction into the Scandinavian windmarket.


Tomas Tuominen,
Vice President, Green Investment Group

As of 1st August 2018, Tomas is a Vice President within the Energy & Infrastructure team at the Green Investment Group, responsible for the origination and structuring of PPAs. Over the past decade, Tomas has worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Statkraft and GE, with the majority of the time spent originating and structuring energy transactions, including both utility and corporate PPAs for small-scale hydro and wind.


Ulla Hedman Andrén,
Director of Operation Swedish Windpower Association

Has been active in the wind power industry since 2001, of which the first 10 years of the turbine manufacturer Vestas. Since 2013, she is the head of operations at the Swedish Windpower Association and Project manager for the annual Winterwind International Wind Energy Conference. Ulla is a board member in World Wind Energy Association, WWEA.


Christian Kjaer,
CEO, Danish Wind Energy Association

Kjaer is the former CEO of the Wind Energy Association, EWEA (Wind Europe). He has been a member of the Board of Directors at GWEC and the Board of Directors of the European Renewable Energy Council (EREC) in Brussels.


Anders Plejdrup Houmøller,
Owner/CEO of Houmoller Consulting ApS

Mr Houmøller has more than 25 years of experience in the electricity supply industry and seven years of experience from the IT and software industry. Mr. Houmøller has been teaching and consulting in more than 40 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, North America and South America. For 12 years, Mr Houmøller was head of the Nordic electricity exchange Nord Pool’s office in Denmark.


Mark Porter,
Manager Business Renewables Center, Rocky Mountain Institute

In 2007 Mark connected personal passion with professional experience and specialized in the renewable energy sector. Mark has worked for Ernst & Young’s for nine years, working with projects across Europe, Canada and North America. Mark joined Business Renewables Center program in March 2016. Mark has led and created a plethora of tools and resources for the buyers and project developers.


Heidi Paalatie,
Operations Manager Finnish Windpower Association

Heidi has followed closely the rapid growth of Finnish wind power sector over the six years she has been working with the association. Finnish Wind Power Association is the leading industry association for wind power in Finland gathering different types of actors under one umbrella. As operations manager, Paalatie is responsible for a variety of tasks in the association, and thus understands the Finnish wind power from viewpoints of different stakeholders.


Tore Ivar Slettemoen,
CEO Njordr as

Responsible for development, financing and PPAs for several major Norwegian Wind Projects since 2014; Bjerkreim, Egersund, Telllenes and Måkaknuten. Part owner of Norsk Vind Energi and Njordr. Broad experience with Nordic PPAs; Axpo, Norsk Hydro, Google and Facebook.

Norsk Hydro is a major owner of Njordr; a Nordic wind developer.
